Factory farming is the biggest cause of animal cruelty on the planet.

Compassion in World Farming International is the leading international farm animal welfare environmental charity. Our mission is to end factory farming. Our vision is a world where farm animals are treated with compassion and respect. We believe that farm animals should not, and need not, suffer.

With over 55 years of campaigning, we have been instrumental in achieving dramatic reforms for farm animal welfare in the UK and Europe. The challenge for the future is to ensure that animal welfare becomes a fundamental consideration within the global food system. We are working towards a shift to post-industrial agriculture where factory farming is replaced with humane, regenerative, and sustainable food systems.
